app icon gloss

QUESTION:

Uploaded app icon images in your demo get a gloss applied to them. Some apps in iTunes don't have a gloss. Is there an option when submitting an order at appmakr for gloss or no gloss?

Thank you for your help.

ANSWER:

The gloss and rounding is automatically applied by Apple to all icons your do not need to apply the rounding or the gloss to your icons manually. A square flat image will work fine.

As far as REMOVING the automatically generated "Apple Gloss", this will be implemented into AppMakr in early 2011.

Hey, AppMakr Crew!

Does it look like we will be getting the option to remove the gloss this month?? Or is it someway to open the app in xcode??

I know a few developers including myself, using appmakr who are literally giddy over getting this option! Some feel thats the only real prob. with appmakr, personally I love it!

Hey guys, sorry for the late update, I updated the form and we'll be implementing this option in the next month or two!

The answer in the main post is misled. Marc is right. I could amend the .plist file with my Xcode, but it requires AppMakr signing for it to work. The glow, while making some icons look fantastic, totally ruins others.

I dont know if this is possible with a appmark app. but it would be great!
from xcode select one row (no matter why) and RIGHT mouse click.
then Select "Icon already includes gloss and beve" and
that's done!
or you need to add this to your Info.plist:
Code:
<key>UIPrerenderedIcon</key>
<true/>
