2. I am not sure what you are asking here, (sorry).

3. You get as many updates of your app as you want, The ads will only dissapear the first month you pay, after that unless you pay again all rebuilds will have ads :-)

Are anyone able to include the geo location information when users are uploading pics? With AppMakrs message center, the RSS doesn't include the geo info. With pictures and location info, a lot of fun can be done using georss tabs.

Select the binary (AppStore .zip file you downloaded from your AppMakr account) and click "Send"

****Please note that Safari automatically unzips the binary file, so you should download the App Store App from your AppMakr account using another browser, ie. Firefox

Where is this file at?  Most of the files are greyed out, and everything I click I don't see a send button.  I can't get get this section done.

Yes i got my own servers that could receive messages from the App Tab,but can't make it working for the attachments,so i had to leave as it's easiest way of Appmakr servers.

That could save all of us you doing a tutorial video.

I've been able to ( at least in tests )  to get the messages up and running on my server. still working on the photos part but. I'm going to make a video tutorial hopefully this evening and post a link  to it here. on how to get it running. if you have your own server access.

@Landi - unfortunately, these are known issues. Message tabs are not working when using the AppMakr message center. When updating an app, it often happens that the app crashes after splash screen, and users have to perform a clean install. This often results in bad ratings. I often have to use push messages to inform my app users when upgrading...

OMG i just checked out the comments in the App Store they all gone kill me. So bad credits on me to what i have done with the newer version of App.

I re-updated my App yesterday is available on the App Store,it's a whole Tab in the App referring about Socialize,when i lunch it says there is not activity at this time,which that didn't happen before it worked perfect,of my App has already got  high rating and downloads in 8  Months and many users use to it on their devices leaving comments and sharing articles.

Also i'm not receiving feedback anymore  from the message Tab via Appmakr servers,it's not working 3 weeks now,which it did and by receiving attachments.

Also it crashing the App  with the new update,everyone had to remove the old version and re-install it again from the App Store.
I had to send Push Notifications about and ask all users to forgive me for all the hassles i have made and guide them how to re-install the App.

I  purchased 50,000 Push Notifications i have sent only 2 Notifications at all,there is no  credit left .
Why is that probably there are many users using the App and needed to purchase more Credits then that?
(Note also i have already purchased more Credits Notifications for the other Apps.)

(Please let me me know how me to act  any idea of the Appmakr Team ? )

@Mfernandez Also your address that you would put in the message tab should look like this: http://www.yourwebsite.com/?comment_post_ID=193  The 193 is your page that the comments go to.  Wordpress assigns a number to all their pages.  Also appmakr won't show validate this but it works in test and Appstore apps.  My users seem to love it!   Let me know it this helps.

@Merfnanandez  I used these installation instructions: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/appmakr-comment-plugin/installa... and I used this thread http://help.appmakr.com/entries/249209-wordpress-plugin-for-appmakr... to help me figure it out.  You'll see on that thread that I had trouble figuring it out also back in February but I re read all the instructions from those guys and got it to work.  I prefer the wordpress option over the Appmakr message center only because I use the message feature to allow users to post pictures in my StL Baseball app.  This allows me to moderate comments before their published so people don't put up inappropriate photos.  On Appmakr's message center you can't delete.   Let me know if you are still having issues after checking out these 2 threads. 

@heath - i meant that I couldn't get the wordpress plugin to work not that it's not working. I am not a programmer by any means and don't really get what the install process is.

I'd much rather have it done in the dashboard. but if it's down I can host on the wordpress but no one seems to care to explain HOW it works just that it works for them. 

@ Heath - I did not mean to attack you.  The community is just frustrated that this feature is not working on AppMakr (not WordPress) and I thought you didn't understand the thread.  I'd be willing to bet that no one is successfully receiving messages through the appmakr message center.  If you do have a work around for it, please share with us.  Thank you for all of your help.

@Heath - Do you see at the top of this page where is says:

This is the problem!  Why do you keep falling back on WordPress? Do me a favor and under Your Tab, change it to: Use AppMakr for processing posted messages instead. Then test and you will see that it simply does not receive messages.

@heath would you mind sharing on how you set it up

it seems to be down for everyone. I've even tried the Wordpress plugin and i can't seem to get that to work either. Not sure what to do other than pull the feature out of the app. if anyone has had any success with either the Wordpress app or this system can you please write up what you did to get it going. I'm sure the whole community would appreciate it.

Any update on this matter AppMakr?  I've submitted a bug report three months ago and it still says "processing."

If you cannot fix this problem with your website, can you provide us with some sort of form to email script that will allow us to receive the messages/photo attachments over email for now?

You guys provide a great service to the app community and I appreciate all you have done!  We just desperately need your help.

i did fill out a bug report. and no one has gotten back yet. @heath is there anyway you would be so kind as to explain a little about the word press plugin. I have it installed on my site but for the life of me i can't seem to get this comment_post_id thing to work. and there is very little documentation about the plugin or any sort of tutorial on how to create a comment page for the app.

@Heath - The messages are successfully sent from the apps.  The problem is that are either not being received or displayed in AppMakr Messages.  On your dashboard if you hover over one of your apps, you'll see the Messages link.  Click on this.  Previously sent messages were coming in, but as of early July, this feature on AppMakr stopped working for all apps.

For me that's the issue. I'm only using AppMakr message center.

This seem to be a general problem. I have about 10 apps live with message tabs. None are working.

my messages aren't showing up on dashboard either. They all say sent successfully but never arrive anywhere. 

I have the same problem. I made a ad-hoc testing but my messages never go through.

Hi, is it possible to add a take a picture from the phone as opposed to select from camera roll when users click on camera for the message tab?  I saw it available on another app, but does not work when i use it on my apps. Any considerations to this feature would be greatly appreciatted.

I'm having the same problem!  Messages are being successfully sent from the app but not showing up in the message center. I received about 5 messages successfully in June before the problem was noticed in July.  Perhaps it's a problem with the message center?

Just like Esteve and Callum: The messages from the message tab on the iPhones never make it back to the message centre in the appmakr website, when testing ad hoc version.

Any info about that?

There are no text messaging charges associated with push notifications.

By default the messages that are sent to you from other users appear in your message centre. If you'd like those messages to go elsewhere you can provide a custom URL, but if you enable this URL the messages will not appear in the message centre.

Hello I have put this feature on my app and downloaded the ad hoc version but everytime I send a message it doesnt come. Am I doing something wrong or does it only work on the app store version?

I've got a couple of questions:

1)  When a user sends a message - he gets charged normal sms charges as per his service provider right? or is this message sent over Wifi/3G ?

2)  I would like to have a wall for messages , almost like a twitter or FB wall ....  Which way is best?

       a) Messages sent to my html/webpage and then adding a RSS feed on appmaker so that the info goes back to the app.

                     or

        b) Messages sent to Appmakr server / system . Is there a way to send all messages back to the APP  so user can see other people' messages?

I agree that would be a great addition, but it is not on roadmap at this time.  I suggest posting all feature requests here http://bit.ly/cR4plW.  Our developers will take a look at them when implementing new features.  The more customers who are suggesting the feature stand a better chance of having their requested feature implemented.

There is no way to delete messages at this time.

The feedback feature is working for me, but when people send us messages we can't tell who they are...  and they don't realize they have to identify themselves.

Could you modify this feature to tell users they have to identify themselves?  Or even better, add an input field for their email address?

I love this feature but know a lot of junk will come into the RSS feed.  Any way for me to delete message?  Didn't really see a way to edit the list once the message goes into the feed.

I hope I am missing a key part of the support section. - If so would appreciate what section to check out regarding the following:

Appmakr posted that the "Post Message" feature is working.  However developers have posted that the messages are still not appearing in their dashboard. Since it appears that this capability can only be tested on iPhone/iPad (via a published App?), how will we know when this definitely works? There must be a way to build and test all initial features prior to submitting an app to the App store. Obviously I do not have an App published at this time, but want to know when a feature is described as working by Appmakr that we can design, build and ultimately TEST, prior to releasing a product.

So can Appmakr confirm:

a) If the "Post Message" capability is now working so that developers get to see the message

b) Is there a way to create an app for full testing on IOS prior to submission to app store?

c) Is there FAQ on what options developers have in a published app after previewing the message in the dashboard?

Jason: On one of our published apps The Social Business, the Ask feature appears to work...user gets a "message sent" confirmation. But nothing appears on the Dashboard.  On our other app, Smarter Planet, test messages sent from the Ad Hoc version are coming through, and we've published to the App Store.

Both apps have been rebuilt since the fix for the Ask feature was reported.

I got an error message that states: "send message error: A connection failure occurred".  I submitted a bug, curious to know when this is fixed.

I tried it the other way too, with wordpress plugin, it sent from the new build test app.. but never got to my wordpress page.

I am cool with either way.. becuase I can always get the rss output from appmakrs message page... and display that on my website.

I've just published an app to Appstore (Annie Seel), passed Review and Ready for sale but the Post Message Tab does not work.
Using AppMakr's native post message system. Dowloaded app from Appstore, when I tried to post a message from this tab, I got an error message that states: "send message error: A connection failure occured". 

Changed publish date to get it off Appstore.

Need to have it up and working before Friday...

In a previous build this feature was working, but now it doesn't validate and says "One or more of your post message tabs does not have a valid email address or url." How can I fix this?

@ Hing - if you submit a bug report, our dev team can look into this for you. Also, the more features/functionality you include in your app (georss, post message, Ning, HTML5, etc) the more likely your app will be of getting an approval from Apple. Apps strictly containing rss feeds alone will more than likely be rejected by Apple.

I've just added this Post Message Tab to my app using AppMakr's native post message system and later provisioned to my phone for adhoc testing. However, when I tried to post a message from this tab, I got an error message that states: "send message error: A connection failure occured". May I know if I did something wrong here ? 

Appreciate your feedback on this. FYI, my app was rejected by Apple with the reason, "only a content aggregator and provides a limited set of features and functionality to users". So I hope that with this inclusion of Post Message tab which allows some form of interaction/feedback from the user and it would be approved by Apple.
