Open an html page in the in-app browser from a tab button rather than opening the rss feed.

Steven, you're right it is much cheaper to go through Google and they allow much more control over your app.
That being said, you can create an app with Appmakr and test it on up to 100 devices. You must provision each device in your Apple developer account but you could just use that app on 100 devices. Individual Apple developer accounts cost $100.

Hi Dan, i looked at the option of Enterprise but Apple are under the illusion we can all afford $300 for a school app when its nothing more than just that, a app for my wife's school that i thought would be cool to let the kids and teachers have something on there phone to keep up to date with things going on.
Seriously the way Apple are going along this route of alienating them selves from customers, open source technology and being open with other operating systems ie forcing you to own an Apple computer to now even up load an app, i really do not see them lasting.
It has been proven that android has taken over because people are sick and tired of Apples attitude and the sooner they loose the fight the better.
I own an iphone in the next month will be getting an android as i'm sick to my back teeth of apple and its money grabbing don't give a crap attitude to it's customers.
I wouldn't mind if they were the best thing since sliced bread but lets be honest iphones are behind at least by 3 yrs against its competitors, honestly blue toothing to other manufactures phones still not a implemented?
Hell i had a Nokia 6 yrs ago capable of that, seriously, i have a pic on my phone and im still not allowed to share with a person on a samsung or nokia.
It's like dealing with a dinosaur company that doesn't realize if they don't change their attitude soon the comets on it's way and it's going to wipe them out.
Sorry i'm going of topic but seeing how much they want for me to do a app just for me and a few others has really got me piffed off.
Is there no way the app is compiled thru this website so we can download to our PC and install on my jailbroken iphone, it is legal by the way to own a jailbroken phone.
Under the DMCA of 2010, jailbreaking is legal in the United States, although Apple has announced that the practice "can void the warranty."[1] It is also legal in many other countries including those of the EU.

Actually Steven, it looks like you could sign up for an Apple Enterprise Developer account and you can use an unlimited amount of devices as long as they are under the same domain. Enterprise would be a better long term solution for you as opposed to the individual accounts as they only allow for 100 devices per account.
There's a how to in the lab section on displaying local web pages using PhoneGap. Steven, if you're app isn't going to be for public use you are allotted 100 test devices through Apple and you could simply email the Appdrop link for the test build to every teacher who would use the app. That way you wouldn't have to worry about getting rejected from Apple.

My app i'm designing is for a school and its pupils so is not of any use to the general public.
Theres static pages on the site in question id like fed to the app, like the calender of school , another with names of teachers and their email, is there a way of adding these without a rss feed?
I have searched all the forum to no avail for help.
I saw a thread for adding a contact page but long winded as it converted a book css zip into a one page embedded contact.
Appmakr admins have even said themselves a rss feed only apps not going to be accepted by the app store, we need to be able to add static pages from web and maybe static images not associated to rss. feeds

I'd also like to have the ability to display a web page in the in-app html browser. Would be great for about us pages, misc info or pages that don't fit into the RSS box.
