*NOTE: These instructions pertain to iOS apps only

If you're getting the 48hr build error and you are rebuilding an older app then it's likely that your Apple Developer Account is expired.

Please follow the steps below to assess the expiry on your account.

1. Login to your Apple developer account: https://developer.apple.com/ios/manage/bundles/add.action

2.  Navigate to the distribution certificate section and see if your certificate has expired

3.  If your certificate has indeed expired, then it needs to be updated in both Apple and in AppMakr.  In order to do so, first RENEW IT IN APPLE.  Once you've renewed your Developer Certificate with Apple, please follow the next series of steps to upload your new certificate into AppMakr.

4.  Login to your AppMakr account and go to the developer account section

5.  Click on the "Add Apple Developer Account" tab

6.  Follow the instructions for either option 1 or option 2 (you do not do both).  Please follow the instructions in its entirety - until you get a green √

7.  Now your Apple developer account is renewed on Apple and uploaded into AppMakr.  Now you have to update your certificate for each of your apps that you want to rebuild.   Go back to the dashboard and select the iOS build you want to rebuild.

8.  Go to the "Publish" tab and make sure to SELECT THE NEW ACCOUNT

9.  Click on "Create Test App" and you'll be taken to the app provisioning page.

10.  You do not have to update all the certificates in the app.  You only have to update Section 2.  Please follow all the instructions in Section 2 in its entirety.

11.  Select "Open Apple's Distribution Provisioning Profile page here"

12.  Once back in your Apple developer account, you'll notice that all your mobile provisioning profiles are expired.  Look for the app you are trying to build in the list provided - you'll have to select "modify" on that app.

13.  Select all your test devices, and then "Submit"

Screen_shot_2011-11-10_at_6.49.26_PM.png

14.  Then find your app again in the resulting page, and refresh until you no longer see "pending" and instead see "download"

15.  Download the .mobileprovision file

16.  Come back to your AppMakr publish page and upload the mobile provision file to AppMakr

You will have to repeat steps 7-16 for all apps that have been built with the previous developer certificate.  You should only have to do this once for the test build and once for the AppStore build until your certificate expires again.

the following message appears on my screen :

Oh no! There's been a build error. We've been notified, and usually fix build errors within 48 hours, so please check back with us.

Certificate valid till 2012 ... so I need another solution .

Anyone ?

thanks a lot !

No I have not. It stated "Oh no! There's been a build error. We've been notified, and usually fix build errors within 48 hours, so please check back with us"

So, this message to me means I do not need to fill out a bug report appmakr has been notified and to check back. However, I have checked back on the first one since it happened 3 days ago, and tonight I got another one on another android build I did tonight. I saw the release on apple builds with a 48 hour error and it seemed like the same one I was getting...And wanted to know if the android 48 hours error was being worked on as the notice said.
