Auto refresh of RSS feeds

Could rss feed auto refresh functionality be added so that developers could set it up to auto-pull at specific intervals if the App is open and also option to refresh each time the App is started with current rss feeds (when connectivity is available of course).

Facebook does not do it this way. It loads the latest feed without fail on page load. Only if you remain on the page do you have to swipe down and refresh. This lack of auto refresh on load is a serious shortcoming. People are commenting on this on my Android Market page and surely will on itunes once the apps is approved.
Yes this is a comment complaint from users. That there is no autorefresh. PLEASE please add

The user can just pull down on the feed to refresh-- even facebook does it this way!
