It would like to build apps without RSS. Similar to RSS but without it: you load info from a ad-hoc webpage and load it to the app. Nice.
Or load the info from a RSS, but just that, load the info and forgot it was from RSS, and lock it into the app for offline access. It would be awesome and give us a lot of posibilities to do apps.
I want to make, for example, a cooking recipes app, an app with a personality info like biografy, videos, photos, etc.

The feature is not as you say available, from what i read on your link the html is required on my end, i need to include it in a zip file and upload to the simulator, this is not whats wanted.
The ability to link to a page on www is whats wanted.
For example, i want to include this page from the school site on my app.
http://lc2.boe.loga.k12.wv.us/agenda/calendar.html
The calender is updated on website on a weekly basis so i need to be able to link in my app to this page so the app has latest calender info.
If i do it your way as you say using phoneGap its a static page within the app which is of no use.
This feature is now available.
I would also be very interested in being able to create a page with static content, not necessarily contact info though.
@Jody
We have customers who have created a contact info feed that has only their contact info. If you have sufficient content, then it should be ok to have a feed that only has one story (your contact info).
I'm looking for something similar but I want to use the RSS app but be able to put a static page in there with contact info.
I too am looking for this. Something I can make a book with.
